What our customers say ...
Fantastic Food!! Beautiful Ale - So my family and I wanted to try somewhere new. Being an avid Shepherd Neame going, we looked to find a different place, and boy did we find a gem of a pub! The food there was as you would expect from Shepherd Neame, brilliant! I had the pie, it was delicious. My wife had sausages and the kids had the fish! No complaints from anyone, the silence round the table says it all to me. I was told by the staff that they had a new manager and I do believe he was from another pub we have visited, we had no complaints there and it's clear he is doing well here too. The addition of Spitfire larger was new to me, I'm more of an ale drinker myself but I must say its a very refreshing pint. As always Shepherd Neame, this pub is a credit to your name, well done to the staff whom were all very attentive. We will be back! Visited July 2016
Great Service and food, good central location - Had a meal here last night and I must say was presently surprised, the food was of a good quality and the service was great, quick without making you feel like the food had just come out of a microwave. I had the Steak and Ale pie, and whilst it could have done with a little more gravy when it arrived, the server bought me a small jug of extra gravy within minutes, which sorted that out. The mash was great and the Pie itself had great pastry and the meat inside was more like a good casserole than the chewy meat you normally get in a pub pie. Great. Visited July 2016
